Privacy Policy

Effective October 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how GB Creates LLC (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use Dollar Glider at dollarglider.com, including the installable app (the “Service”). Questions? Email gabe@gbcreates.com.

Information we collect

Account information

  • Your name and email address.
  • If you sign up with email, a password. It is stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider; we never see it.
  • If you sign in with Google, your Google account's name, email address and profile picture URL (the openid, email and profile scopes).

Information you enter

  • Trips you log: dates, business purposes, start and end addresses, round-trip flag and miles.
  • Your settings, such as your default starting address, mileage rate and tax year.
  • Auto-capture rules you create (a location keyword and the address it stands for).
  • Email addresses of people you invite.

Google Calendar data (only if you connect it)

Connecting Google Calendar is optional. If you do, we request read-only access (the calendar.readonly scope) and access:

  • The list of your calendars, so you can choose which ones to use.
  • For events in the date range you choose: the event title, start date and time, location, and the names or email addresses of other attendees.
  • OAuth access and refresh tokens that let us read your calendar on your behalf.

Technical information

  • Essential cookies that keep you signed in, and a note in your browser's local storage if you dismiss the “Install app” banner. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
  • Standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and request time) kept by our hosting provider.

How we use information

  • To provide the Service: store your mileage log, calculate driving distances and show totals.
  • To suggest trips from calendar events that have a physical location, and to auto-approve events that match your rules.
  • To send account emails: sign-up confirmation, password resets and invites you request.
  • To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Google user data

Dollar Glider's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

  • We use Google Calendar data only to show you trip suggestions and to create trips in your own mileage log. We store only what a suggestion needs (event title, date, location, attendees and the generated business purpose) plus your OAuth tokens.
  • We never modify, create or delete anything in your Google Calendar.
  • We transfer Google user data to others only as needed to provide this feature (see “Service providers” below), to comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you.
  • We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
  • We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
  • No person reads your Google user data unless you give us permission (for example, for support), it is needed for security or to investigate abuse, or the law requires it.

Service providers

We share information with these providers only so they can run parts of the Service for us:

  • Supabase: database and authentication. Stores your account and everything above, encrypted at rest.
  • Vercel: hosting and the daily calendar sync.
  • Google Maps Platform: addresses you type (for autocomplete) and trip start and end addresses (to calculate driving distance).
  • OpenAI: a new calendar event's title and location, sent to write a short business purpose for the trip suggestion. Under OpenAI's API terms this data is not used to train their models.
  • Resend: your email address and the content of account emails we send you.

We may also disclose information when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety or property of our users or others.

Retention and deletion

  • We keep your information while you have an account.
  • Disconnect Google Calendar in Settings at any time. We delete your stored Google tokens and revoke our access with Google. You can also remove access from your Google Account permissions page.
  • Delete your account in Settings at any time. This immediately and permanently deletes your trips, settings, rules, calendar suggestions, Google tokens and login. You can also email gabe@gbcreates.com to ask us to delete your data.
  • Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before it is overwritten.

Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), store passwords only as hashes, keep data encrypted at rest, and limit each account to its own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you of a breach as required by law.

Your choices and rights

You can view and edit your data in the app, export your mileage log as a CSV file, disconnect Google Calendar and delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights, such as asking for a copy of your data. Email gabe@gbcreates.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

The Service is for business owners and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and let you know by email or in the app before they take effect.
